Elevators.
What is up with people and elevators?
I was riding one a while ago when I noticed one queer trend. People try be nearest to the door. Why? IS IT SAFER WHEN YOU'RE NEAR THE EXIT? If the elevator falls, do you think you''ll be able to hop off when the other side of the elevator door is closed? And even if say for the sake of argument that the door is indeed open, will you be able to jump with enough force to actually be able to beat the freefall of an elevator to not get your body crushed between the door and the elevator? That's a double gah.
Or maybe they just want to ruin everybody else's day by being closest to the exit where it's most convenient to get off. That, or I'm cynical.
Either way, some people are best left to the stairs.
